So, Tom Brokaw will be doing Meet the Press until the Elections. Makes sense, it is someone people know and for the most part trust. I am wondering how the viewership will go though. Hopefully they(NBC) doesn't have him pulling stunts to get viewers. At least it wasn't Katie Couric. She may be smart, but apparently I could pull a better audience as an unknown. Although, in her case it may just be Karma kicking her butt, since she screwed over other people to get her career. I myself don't know what the big deal is about being a news anchor because for the most part they all just sound like parrots repeating the same story.
I mean think about it regardless of the station the news is the same on the national level, just a different head telling you. I do have to give Katie kudos for being able to get the seven figures.

He is a SD boy born, raised, and educated there. Married to the same person for 46 years.
He wrote a best selling book called "The Greatest Generation." A great line from that book seems to be what is happening to him right now. "Heroes are people who rise to the occasion and slip quietly away." He is rising to this occassion and then it is back to beach vacations and golf. Ah, the life. I wonder how much he was able to command for this return. It had to be in the seven figures range. Nice work if you can get it. I wonder who will be his first guest. I say it should be Ann Coulter. She is controversial, a little wacky, and everyone will hate her but the staunchest Republicans that are like captains going down with their ship.
