Don't Blame Teen Pregnancy on Jamie Lynn
June 20th 2008 17:26
I was reading how one high school has 17 teenagers that are pregnant. The two people who wanted to get protection to the girls were forced to resign. Now, it turns out it was some kind of pact among a bunch of teenage girls with way too much time on their hands. Apparently they would cry if they weren't pregnant. Well, here is 17 more for the welfare books and court battles for child support. All because these girls thought it would be cute to have a kid. Heck, one girl is even pregnant by a homeless man. Yuck!
I was reading on line and a couple of organizations tried to blame Jamie Lynn because the media "accepted" that she was pregnant and ran to get the baby's picture. Well, considering the girls made the pact in the fall, we can leave Jamie Lynn out of it.
This is simply a case where the girls have no sense of responsibility, apparently a lot of time to scower the streets for likely fathers, even homeless ones, just to have a kid.
What should happen to these girls, the kids, and the parents?
1. The parents should have to pay all the costs. If their kid was so stupid to do this, then the parents should be punished for trying to inflict these kids upon society.
2. The babies should be adopted by a 2 parent family. Babies need to be loved; they are not meant to be a fashion accesory like the toy dogs of yester year.
I guess one thing I am grateful for is that these girls did not make to get pregnant and then abort them. As it is, these babies will pay for their teen mother's choice for years to come.

Or taken away from their biological mothers....
Which they won't if the baby is given up for adoption.
Unless they wanted to have the baby...
